Yet the most promising actives are often the hardest to harness: insoluble, unstable, or incompatible with each other.
As a result, their potential remains limited. Concentrations must be reduced, or conversely increased to compensate for gradual loss. Ingredient combinations are restricted, preservatives — more or less natural — become unavoidable, and the sensorial experience suffers, with constrained choices of texture.

- Modulating the cooling sensation and user experience
The various galenic forms developed cover a wide spectrum of textures, from serum to cream, fluid to rich.
They also allow the cooling sensation to be adjusted. When removed from the freezer, the product delivers a freshness that ranges from pronounced to subtle.
Unlike simulated effects, such as those produced with menthol, the technology delivers “true cold” to the skin, providing physiologically recognized benefits backed by science.
- Optimizing active ingredient solubilization
The matrices are designed to solubilize a wide range of actives, from non-polar to highly polar, including those that are typically difficult to dissolve.
This innovation was patented in March 2025.
- Stabilizing actives
The formulation platform enables the use of actives in their most effective, potent form, without resorting to costly processes (e.g. encapsulation) or those that reduce efficacy (e.g. esterification).
The proof of concept (POC) focuses on 6 of the most sought-after molecules in anti-aging products: vitamin C, vitamin E, retinol, rucinol, niacinamide, and copper peptide (GHK-Cu).
No degradation is observed during freezing.
- Making “incompatible” actives compatible
CryoCosmetics® formulations allow the combination of so-called incompatible actives through co-stabilization directly within a single formula.
Some examples:
– Copper peptide and antioxidants can be combined without compromising the copper peptide.
– Retinol and vitamin C can be combined without encapsulation or esterification, processes that typically reduce efficacy in conventional formulations.
